another summer has come and gone, and I am once again sitting at a table at my college campus.
To be honest, even though I spent a lot of time working, and a lot of it sucked, this summer was pretty rad.
I hiked trails, road tripped with my best friends. walked in waterfalls, finished art projects, traveled to see my sister and her new little family, pierced my ear cartilage, photographed my first wedding, basked in the various glories of nature, rode in the back of a truck going down country roads, soaked up sun and positive vibes at the beach...
and honestly, I spent a lot of time just being with people. I think there's something to be said for just enjoying someone's company. I've come to realize that the people I feel at home with are the people i love the most.
So here's to another semester, and to another summer yet to come.
Isn't that the truth. The working part of summer isn't great, just just hanging out. Just being with people. Laughing and sitting or maybe little adventures, that is the great fun of life.
ReplyDeleteFriends are the jam. When you have a solid crew of best friends, you can just literally sit around doing nothing together and still have fun. :)
