a year ago today
i stood on the edge of a waterfall
in my favorite place in the world
i turned, and saw his smile for the first time
as he said,
"if I fall, will you catch me?"
I didn't know then
how much he would come to mean to me
how much i would mean to him
but being here today
even though we're 5000 miles apart
i can say
that next to his heart
is where i long to be-
where i call home
on that day
on the foggy, rainy, wind-swept cliff
"we found each other in the dark"
