It's funny how when you're a child, people talk about your future as if it's a sure thing. Like, "One day when you have kids of your own..." or, "When you're married..." or, "When you retire..."
They never talk about the phases in between. Like, "When you can't decide what you want to do with your life..." or, "When relationships don't work out..." or, "When you feel like your goals are out of reach."
It's funny how they leave that part out.
