without time

it wasn't much, but it was something

like making eye contact 

with a mysterious stranger

across a crowded room

Suddenly doors are open,

and everything else is gone

in that moment, you know them

yet you still know nothing at all

a place cut out of time

but you don't realize that, until

the fleeting gaze is interrupted

and all the doors slam shut,

this small infinity wasn't enough

you didn't realize what it was 

until it was gone
