There was something in your eye

-- as she told us to join hands and smile -- 

that told me

-- forever --

So many things can be said in a gaze. Things like flame and depth and affection. It can explain the
cord that inexplicably binds us, even from so far away. It can explain how even in the darkest moments, there is still the depth of understanding that says, "we're in this together, it will be okay."

Something so simple yet so intricate; so delicate yet so strong.
