I've always thought of photography as an exploration of self.
Sure, it might not be for everyone. For some it's a way documentation, or an artistic medium. While those are some ways I use it, photography has always stood out to me as a way of putting your thoughts, emotions, and experiences into a photo in that moment, then being able to step outside of yourself and read them from the essence of the photograph. I haven't practiced this in quite some time, but 21 is a new year. There are many adventures, challenges, and blank pages up ahead.
I feel as if 20 was a year of growth. I learned to step outside my comfort zone. I learned how to fall in love and be in a relationship. I learned how to travel and not be afraid to take the reins in situations. I left pieces of my heart in some places, and found them in others. I came home, continued to pursue my degrees, got engaged, and said I Do to the boy who will soon not live too far away.
So, here's to 21.
Congratulations!! Aw this is such a wonderful post I bet you are excited for what's to come in your life. Really love that first picture.
