allons-y

It's so crazy to think that in less than a week I will be heading to France- where I've been planning and working towards for the last year, but also where I've been dreaming of going since high school. While I'm still in a dream-like state about the entire thing, it's time to pack and get stuff done before I leave.

If you're new to this story, I have been studying French since 9th grade. After taking a break from it my first year at the university, I decided to get back into it, eventually making French my double major alongside International Studies. I've always had a desire to go to France (or any French-speaking country) to learn it better. I love experiencing new cultures and countries, but I never really thought that I would be boarding a plane to France any time soon.

Until one day I went to a study abroad fair, and that is what really got the ball rolling. Eventually I found myself going to information meetings, and then that lead me to apply to a program that would take me to France for the entire Fall semester.

I wrote more about the long application and registration process here, and about the day I applied for my visa here

God is so good for providing this opportunity for me to travel while taking classes and learning the language thatI love. I also couldn't have done it without the friends and family who have supported me. Thanks guys <3

Bring on the adventure.
